CNC Machinist
Job Title: CNC Machinist – Milling & Turning
Location: Pottington, Barnstaple, North Devon
Company: TAW Tech Ltd
TAW Tech Ltd was founded in 2009 by a group of experienced engineers who identified the need for high-quality, custom-designed and manufactured bespoke machinery. We design and build production machinery and robotic systems primarily for the food and pharmaceutical sectors.
We work with some of the largest global brands across several industrial sectors, while also supporting smaller businesses throughout the UK. Our team is highly experienced in the design, programming and manufacture of production machinery and robotics, delivering reliable, precision-engineered solutions for demanding environments.
Due to the recent retirement of a long-standing and highly experienced machinist, we are now looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist to strengthen our in-house manufacturing capability.

Key Responsibilities
- CNC milling and turning of precision components
- Programming, setting and operating CNC machines
- Working with Siemens and Prototrax controls (or similar)
- Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
- Producing components to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Supporting the wider build team with high-quality machined parts
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist (milling and turning)
- Strong programming, setting and operating capability
- Experience with Siemens, Prototrax or comparable control systems
- Confident interpretation of technical drawings
- High attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
- Comfortable working independently within a small, skilled team
What We Offer
- A stable, long-term role within an established engineering business
- Varied, technically interesting work on bespoke machinery and robotics
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Professional, supportive working environment
If you are an experienced CNC machinist looking to join a respected engineering business working with both global brands and UK manufacturers, we would welcome your application.
